The Alyssius school leaving Huissen, is an opportunity for a renewal of the centre of town. The major element of this development is a supermarket with an underground car parking for approx. 400 cars.

The buildings are positioned to clearly define urban spaces. Places and streets have distinct facades. The relation between building and street is created by facing the houses to the street and by “covering” the closed backside of the supermarket with houses that have a sunny terrace on the roof of the supermarket. Part of the project is the face lift of an apartment building close to the dike.
